If you’ve landed here, chances are you feel it too – that magic when the first light hits the ocean, the salt on your skin, the promise of a perfect day ahead. That feeling is exactly why Pinky Sunrise exists.
My name is Jardinax (or Pinky, as my closest call me), and Pinky Sunrise isn’t just a brand. It’s a piece of my heart, shaped by years of living and breathing the Australian way of life.
It Started with a Sunrise in Gold Coast
I moved to Australia a few years ago, chasing sun, freedom, and a slower pace after too many grey days elsewhere. The first morning I woke up in Gold Coast, I walked to the beach at 5:30 a.m. The sky turned pink, then gold, then pure fire. Waves were gentle, air smelled like salt and possibility.
In that moment, something clicked: “This is home. This is what joy feels like.”
From then on, every sunrise became a ritual. I’d grab my towel, my favourite bikini (or whatever I had), and just be. No phone, no rush – just me, the ocean, and that warm Aussie light.
But I noticed something: most swimwear and beach pieces felt either too serious, too trendy, or not made for real life in the sun. They faded fast, dug in wrong, or just didn’t match the effortless, happy energy of an Australian summer.
I wanted clothes that felt like an extension of that sunrise feeling – light, joyful, durable, and beautiful without trying too hard.
From Dream to Reality
In late 2025, I started sketching ideas on napkins at beach cafés. I wanted:
• Fabrics that protect from the brutal Aussie UV but still feel soft and breathable.
• Cuts that flatter real bodies – because every curve deserves to glow.
• Colours inspired by actual Australian sunrises: soft pinks, glowing oranges, turquoise waves, golden sand.
• Pieces you can wear from sunrise surf to sunset drinks without changing.
I tested prototypes with friends in Melbourne and Gold Coast. We laughed, we surfed, we got sunburnt (lesson learned: always UPF 50+!). Feedback poured in: “This actually stays put in the waves!” “The colour makes me feel so happy!” “Finally, something that doesn’t feel cheap after one wash.”
And Pinky Sunrise was born.
Why “Pinky Sunrise”?
“Pinky” because of those magical pink moments right before the sun explodes over the horizon – that soft, hopeful glow.
“Sunrise” because every day in Australia starts with promise. No matter how tough yesterday was, the sun comes up again, and so do we.
Our pieces are designed in Melbourne, with love for Queensland beaches, Victorian winters (yes, we layer too!), and every corner of this sunburnt country that makes us feel alive.
